Lantern reflector

An Engineering 10 enhancement installed at an Engineering bench. It modifies a compatible item and has its own wear and repair lifecycle.

Applying this enhancement

Prepare Engineering 10 and a compatible equipment item. Suggestion: check the special effect and the host item's condition before committing the materials; repairs and dismantling have their own recovery rules.

Condition, repair and dismantling

New installations have 10,000 condition. Unequip the item to repair or dismantle it at the required Engineering level. Repair cost for each original component = ceil(original amount × missing condition × 60 / 1,000,000); repair XP = max(1, floor(base installation XP × missing condition / 20,000)). Dismantling preserves the base item, gives one Scraps and a random selection from the original component pool. Its maximum component count = max(1, floor(total original components × (150,000 + 25 × condition) / 1,000,000)); at least one and at most that many components are drawn without replacement. At zero condition the enhancement breaks and yields a Box of scraps, queued if inventory space is unavailable.
